The holy grail of blended scotch whisky. A toasty, sweet aroma is complemented by a peaty and spicy taste that develops into heady flavours of oak, dark-chocolate and rich fruitcake. Comprising 16 of the world’s rarest whiskies, some up to 60 years old, contribute to its character. Opens very slowly to reveal a mass of aromas: lanolin, smoke, hessian, dried fruit, polished wood floors, oak, liquorice, cake, silky red fruit and cream. Hold it in the mouth and there’s allspice, sultana cake, crisp malt, turfy smoke which builds in intensity as the whisky opens to a long smoky finish. Served best on the rocks or neat.
